Birds In Black & White

Jul 18th, 2019

Birds in Black and White–Seabirds of the north live in nesting colonies of 10,000 plus with interesting feather-dos. Penguins of the south with their “Happy Feet”, formal-looking feather attire, and comical faces quickly engage our attention. Beneath their black and white feathers both have unique adaptations to living in deep, cold oceans and nesting on bare, plant-free rocks or in shaded forests. Naturalist, Melonie Shipman will show you their unique lifestyles and the many “colorful” variations of the puffins of the north and penguins of the south.
